A George Town travel house, three decades on.
Our journey began in 1994 in a small office on Beach Street, right in the heart of George Town, Penang. More than 30 years later, we've moved into a place of our own on China Street — just a short distance from where it all started.
A lot has changed since then. Paper tickets and OPTATs have been replaced by e-tickets, websites and travel apps. Destinations that once felt far away are now only a few clicks away. But through all these changes, we've held on to what matters most: looking after our customers personally.
We started as a local ticketing agency, helping people book their flights and plan their holidays. Over the years, those customers returned — and many brought their children, relatives and friends with them. Their trust helped Five A Travel grow into the full-service travel company we are today, arranging journeys to more than 30 countries.
For us, travel is never just another booking. It could be a family's first holiday together, a long-awaited pilgrimage, a honeymoon, a business trip or a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Whatever the reason, we understand how much that journey means to you.

A Word from RG Reddy
Five A Travel opened its doors in 1994, started by my father, Mr Rajagopal Sanjevey Reddy. I grew up around the business: the phones never stopping, the stacks of physical tickets, and regular clients who quietly became extended family.
I left for the UK to study law, but when I returned, my compass pointed straight back here. I did what I had always done — rolled up my sleeves, moved through every department, and learned this trade from the foundation up, alongside my father.
When he passed away and I stepped into the Managing Director role, the world was in the grip of the Covid-19 pandemic. With borders closed and travel frozen, it was a trial by fire for the industry. What kept our lights on was grit, resilience, and clients who stood by us because of the trust we had spent decades earning.
My father didn't just leave me a company. He left me a way of treating people: pick up the phone, be honest, and protect the traveller's peace of mind as if it were your own holiday.
A quarter of a century after I first sat behind these desks, that ethos hasn't wavered. When you book a trip with Five A Travel, you work directly with me or someone trained under that exact standard. That is simply how we do business.

5A Travels managed to make my whole family travel to India with ease. We had flown by ourselves and booked hotels by ourselves before but having Mr Govin and Mr Muruga manage our itinerary was a blessing in disguise. They found hotels that didn't deviate from our routes and the vehicle provided was one of the best we could ask for. Mind you, travel in the South of India is not the easiest but the comfort and company in the form of a knowledgeable driver provided was fantastic. Every hotel that we stepped into was an experience in itself. They did Aarti, foot massages and many other welcomes that we have never experienced before. My parents who are rarely impressed were astounded with the level of service. I wish i could give them a 10 star rather than a 5star.
