In mid-October, Malaysia Airlines — part of Malaysia Aviation Group — said it had signed new collaborations to grow in India, teaming up with Pay U for digital payments, Times Black for premium lifestyle and experiences, and Jio, India's big digital and media network. Malaysia Airlines now runs around 80 flights a week to 10 cities across India, all funnelling through its Kuala Lumpur hub and onward into Malaysia and the wider Asia-Pacific. In the first half of 2026 alone it carried close to a million passengers between India and Malaysia — roughly 10 per cent more than the year before — across both holiday and premium travel.
